My Thoughts on Rudeness

Hello, today I’d like to talk to you a bit about rudeness, a.k.a: the assholes of the world. We’ve all seen them plenty of times I’m sure. People who assume they’re better than other people, people with no considerations for common decency, and of course, that one douche who just couldn’t hold the freaking elevator! I myself happen to work at a fast food joint (ugh…), and therefore have to deal with literally busloads of jerks. And that’s not to say that I hate all customers who just want their order made right, I can completely understand that. After all, I’m a consumer as well. But then you just get these people that can’t give you a single fucking break!

Customer 1: My coffee’s way too sweet!
Me: (to myself) Well, then why’d you ask for six sugars in it?

Customer 2: (drops dime as I hand out change)
Me: Oops, sorry about that.
Customer 2: Well are you gonna get me another one or just stand there!
(mutters to self but still completely audibly) Geez, this kind of service is totally unacceptable!

And despite the overwhelming urge to just bitchslap these people, I don’t, because that would be considered rude. (plus I’d probably get fired) And for those of you that have read this and continuously thought to yourself, “Yea, what dicks, I totally hate people like that too!” I ask you to please stop and think about your own behavior for a second, and really, and I mean really analyze how you act around certain people. And, if you so happen to maybe show some rudeness of your own, next time just try to remember to employ some basic politeness instead. And all that really means is to treat others as you would like to be treated (something that I always try to follow, even if it may seem a little bit corny).
